Sunny – Food Photo Journal Day 5

Is it over yet? I’m finding I really keep forgetting, honest to god, to take pictures before I eat. Food… I love food. That’s the reason I’m the size I am. So by the time I remember “Oh, hey! pics!” I…have eaten it all. Ah, well. Figured it was worth a try.

 

Breakfast:

So, breakfast was kind of a fail. I don’t know if I’m gluten intolerant or not…but I know I have no heartburn/stomach issues off gluten, so I’ve been trying to stay gluten free. Until my lovely stepdad throws a wrench into things…by making amazing zucchini bread. Holy. Crap. So good. I told myself just a piece and it turned into two, but it’s all I plan to eat out of the huge batch he made. Because it was oven-warm and…good LOL. And I need to watch my butter. -eyes the pic-

 

Lunch:

 

I loved refried beans. Unfortunately, I eat too much cheese with them. Old habits die hard. (DIE HABITS DIE!) Working on it 🙂 So I had less than a cup of refried beans + 2% colby jack, salsa minus ‘chunks’ (I’m veggie intolerant! XD) and baked Tostitos scoops!

 

Dinner:

 

My brain is a lovely creature. It goes: Hey. You already had gluten today. You should just satisfy that subway urge that’s been riding you. Yeah, you know the one. / So I had subway. A footlong monteray cheddar with baked chicken breast and provalone, toasted, with tomato and lettuce. Imagine that–me eating lettuce. I hate lettuce…but I like it on sandwhiches. The girl who used to order everything minus-lettuce is now eating it. So there’s improvement 🙂

On the fail side, forgot a pic. But it was glorious.

 

Snack:

Red seedless grapes 🙂

And on the plus side: NO pop whatsoever for me today! 😀 I’m not doing as drastic as Val and cutting it for two weeks…but I’m vowing to only have 1 pop a week, on Saturdays. I can DO THIS!

Weekly Weigh In!

Every Saturday morning Sunny and I are weighing in, and we’ll be posting it up here to help keep track of our progress. We’ll have ‘good’ weeks and ‘bad’ weeks, it’s going to happen. This isn’t a contest. It’s just us keeping track.

Now, technically this week was not a full week. We ‘started’ everything back up on Wednesday (7-25-2012). So next week will be our first full week, but we’re still taking numbers this week. ^_^

Sunny – Food Photo Journal Day 3

Breakfast:

I kind of woke up late and had breakfast/lunch rolled together!

Lunch:

Gluten free banana/walnut pancakes with sugar free Maple Grove syrup. Yum, I only had one and a half of them, but they were fairly good sized.

Note to self: …get out the griddle next time. Frying them = bad.

Dinner:

Half a piece of lightly barbequed baked chicken and 3 cobs of corn with margerine. Wish I wouldn’t have had so much corn, since it’s…well…not healthy. But I love corn. This is gonna be a tough one for me. Also, forgot to take pics of the corn on my plate, so I took a pic of the corn in the pan 🙂

Snack:

Sunny – Food Photo Journal Day 2

After feeling fairly blah, my day went like this:

Breakfast:

A slimfast and a banana. I felt too lazy to make a smoothie /shame!

Lunch:

Had half a Ezekiel gluten free wrap with deli turkey, a slice and a half of provalone cheese, a few slices of our garden’s tomato and light ranch dressing. On the side, a couple cucumbers and a little ranch…but I hit a point where the queasy from last night came back twofold… So I had a cup of chicken broth.

Dinner:

Went a little like…

“Hey Sunny,” said Ann. “Let’s do tacos!”

“Man, idk. I’m feeling kinda icky. I don’t wanna puke tacos.”

“But they’re good. And cheap!”

“Okay…” And then I ate four of them. -sigh- Good note? I didn’t puke tacos 😛 Bad note: So much junk… MUST DO BETTER!

And with my tacos, I had a giant pepsi.

 

 

 

Sunny – Food Photo Journal Day 1

So a little late to the start BUT I’m here and that’s what counts.

 

Breakfast:

I had a serving of raw pecans and a glass of tropical (strawberry/peach/mango/pineapple frozen fruit + a dollop of Dannon Light & Fit vanilla yogurt and a cup of apple juice.

Lunch:

I had a bowl of some really odd soup that my friend Ann made. It’s basically cabbage, pepper, tomato and lean sausage. I didn’t think I’d like it, but I really did, once I got over the texture (though I picked out the pepper 😛 Ew) and two slices of Ezekiel gluten free sprouted grain bread + a little margerine and garlic.

Dinner:

I had tuna salad (tuna, sweet pickle, light mayo) with Food Should Taste Good multigrain chips, along with a cucumber and Marzetti’s Lite Ranch dip.

Snack:

A friend of mine gifted me some leftover Cadbury eggs…which are my weakness. Owwie. But I only had one! 🙂

And after a half-mile walk in humid heat…I realized I was both dizzy and sick and in an attempt to make myself less nauseous, I had a cheap slimfast for protein. It helpe a
